Old Geezer Certification

I was in the yard the other day and suddenly noticed this tree.


It's a chestnut tree.

When my son was little, he picked up a chestnut from the ground under a tree next to our church.

He planted it in a little paper cup.

Then later, he moved it to the yard.

And now look at it!

Wow - I must really be an Old Geezer.

    I think chestnut trees are the fastest growing trees in the world, like kudzu. That tree looks to be about 5 years old to me.

    This is not a chestnut - I changed my first sparkplug ever! - at age 35 - on Boone Ave. in Venice CA.
