Stopping the world

My mother passed away yesterday...

so....

I'm stopping the world....

....and getting off....

for a while.

  1. Barbara,
I'm so sorry to hear about your mother's death. I came to your site today because my wife, a teacher in Arlington, TX ISD, let me know that you are coming to their school. I looked up your site because I am developing an author website and I was looking to see how you handled different topics. In doing so, I saw your blog. I'll be praying for you and ask that God will wrap His arms around you and your family and will help you through this difficult time.

  18. Barbara,
I felt exactly this way twenty some years ago when my father died, but no one seemed to understand why I said that I felt as though I had stepped off the world and it kept spinning. As heavy as your heart feels now, the laughter will return and you will enjoy being able to laugh. The pleasant thoughts will pop in your mind at helpful times during the day. I keep a small photo of my father right in the kitchen window so that I can think of him instead while doing something I hate, dishes :(
