Everyone rushing to get to my author blogging panel. (Actually, it's the Philadelphia marathon. I think Laurie Halse Anderson is in there somewhere.)
The Author Blogging panel, organized by Denise Johnson, Associate Professor of Reading, Language and Literacy at The College of William and Mary (l to r) Justine Larbalestier, Laurie Halse Anderson, me, and Lisa Yee:

Barbara,
Sorry I didn't have an opportunity to chat with you at NCTE. I saw you across the ballroom at the Books for Children Luncheon.
I had never been to one of these conventions before. I was overwhelmed by the program booklet, which must have weighed about five pounds! Plus, I had to continually ask for directions. I can get lost quite easily. Still, I had a great time with my poetry friends--especially Janet Wong.
Happy Thanksgiving!!!
Shoot, sorry we missed each other, Elaine. Yeah, that convention is pretty overwhelming! A whirlwind, for sure.
. . . or picking my nose?
