Sadly, whodathunk it?


I wrote How to Steal a Dog in 2003.

There were homeless families in 2003.

There were little girls in schools who lived in their cars.

But I never would have imagined that 8 years later, the situation would be so much worse. (Sorry about the darned ad at start of video.)








And I definitely never could have imagined this.

Oh wow. I just saw this post (a side benefit of being pissed off at facebook). I'm just sick about the rise in poverty and homelessness. When I was growing up, my dad lived in his car (thankfully, the rest of us got to stay in our loverly run down claptrap of a house). My family has always been ahead of the times like that.

It broke my heart to see those kids cry, especially the little girl whose grandmother lost her job and can't give them food anymore. Good God, we have to stop this.
