I love kids
From a fan:
I love your book How to Steal a Dog. It truly is the best book in history.

Dear Barbara, As a mom and teacher who loves relax with a good children's book, I must tell you how much I- and my daughter, and my niece- enjoyed How To Steal a Dog. It was heartwarming, thought-provoking and believable. And I think it begs for a sequel. PLEASE PLEASE show us the family's "reintegration"; their growing friendship with Carmella; maybe even- Mookie becoming their father? Nah, too far-fetched, I guess. I really liked Mookie. And I LOVED the dog. My favorite of your books so far is Greetings From Nowhere. What's next? Good luck, "Lavender Garden"
Forgot to answer your "what's next" question. The Fantastic Secret of Owen Jester is hot off the press. I'm now working on another novel. Kinda slow going, but it's getting there.
