Turkey soup, anyone?

My dog, Ruby, has a history of getting out of the yard and returning with another dog's toy.

She has done it THREE times now!

But today was the ultimate theft.

She got out of the yard.

We looked and looked....

....and called and called.

My husband and I both drove around the neighborhood searching.

Just when I was starting to worry....

She came home with a turkey carcass!!!!

GROSS!!!!!!!!
Just hope it wasn't one of those wild turkeys that wander the neighborhood...

Go Ruby go! But you might want to invest in a gps device to click to her collar. They make them for dogs now, I think. I wish I had them when I had a pair of labs who would wander. They both had those reflective Eddie Bauer collars (they were black) with their names and our number on them. Came in handy when they were picked up by various police departments and good Samaritans.

I once had a wonderful cat named Sam, who was an excellent hunter--lizards, snakes, you name it. His best haul was a whole barbecue chicken--straight off of somebody's grill.

Oh my goodness, Barbara! You need to do a bunch of stories about Ruby's adventures.

Go Ruby!
We have friends who live in the country. Their dog once came home with a gigantic steak off someone's grill!
