A-School-Year-in-a-Minute

It's hard to believe, but my school year is winding down. I've got a couple of visits this week and then - DONE.

To commemorate, I present A-School-Year-in-a-Minute:

Hi Barb!
Loved your school highlights - cool video!
I did a great school visit with 8th graders at a tough, minority, low economic middle school last Thursday and I used your book, HOW TO STEAL A DOG, in my "Opening Hooks" part. They LOVED the title and I could hear the awe's around the room as I read the opening page. It's a GREAT opening. The teachers and librarians wrote down the book's info so they could order it. I love it when they do that!

I have another writing workshop visit tomorrow with 3rd graders, a parent evening dessert reception with a talk on May 1 at the school from last week when they bring their polished stories, and then I'm done, too.

I hope life is going great for you - we haven't talked in ages. My February and March were out of control craziness . . .I have a daughter-in-law and a grandson now. I'm too young for this and I'm totally weirded out!!!!!!!!!
