Our third grade class just finished How to Steal a Dog. We LOVED it!
We were intrigued with your use of the words shut up, idiot and stupid when Georgina was upset. At first, we were surprised by the usage. But, we really think it added to the books realism. After all, we know kids sometimes get angry and say harsh words to each other.
We are wondering if you purposefully used these words to thrill us and pull us in.
By the way, have you considered writing a sequel to this awesome book?

Who's counting?? C'mon, you know counting is almost as much fun as worrying!
Yay for you! Soon it'll be too many to count :).
That is most awesome! :-)
That's wonderful, and well deserved!!
